Nanaimo's Mount Benson is blessed with a number of great hiking trial opportunities from short easy hikes to longer more challenging hikes. Mount Benson's Best hiking starts from Witchcraft Lake off of Benson View Road which offer lots of different ways up or down to hike and different views to see as you reach Mount Benson's Summit.
You will see the city of Nanaimo, BC. from various spots as you hike to the summit. From the Summit of Mount Benson you get an Awesome 360deg view over looking the city and a good chunk of the southeast corner of Vancouver Island.
depending on your fitness level is, you can hike to the summit in as little as an hour or to 3 up hours, add another 2 or 3 hours to hike down. So Pack a lunch, some water, grab your boot and other hiking gear and set off for a day hike up your local mountain today.
