Sandhill Cranes stop over in the forbidden plateau in September
the trail west wide going to Helen Mackenzie
isn't to bad, but from there around the lake is every rooty and you
nee to watch your footing.
once around the lake the trail improves again.
the area few other spots where the trail can be hazardous if your
tired and not paying attention
