2012
Hi my Fellow Hikers
Well spring 2012 is just a round the corner. I see things blooming
out and the snow melting away slowly up in the mountain peaks. I'm
looking forward to getting back out hiking myself. but so far this
winter I haven't been able to hike much myself do to working again.
every nice day for hiking, I get called in to work for the same
reason, what a pain. but don't get me wrong I love what I do, my
point in the end is, there needs to be more sunny days, cause
he cant keep me working every day, even if its sunny. No
matter, when the time comes I'll just take the time and go hiking
and work be damned. if its life or slavery, I'll take life.
anyway I'm going back into the Strathcona Park again this summer for
more GPS mapping of the trails for making maps, etc. hopefully this
winter he didn't get 172% of are normal snow pack. kind of hard to
map a trail when its under 6 feet of snow.
one plans hiked that i am hoping to both this the mine to elk river
via Golden hinde. the other hikes aren't planned but i will be back
in the Bedwell area and valley finishing what I started in
that area last year. if I can find a boat for access to the
trail head. I'm do
marble meadows and hike around Phillips ridge.
closer to home I'll be back to Arrowsmith to work on the that area and
re-do mount Moriarty as well.
my wish list of hikes is back to Comox Glacier, but I find it hard
to find a ride in and out(or just in), because most can't find their
way back out it seems.
